Wei Wang - Profile
Mr. Wei Wang – Co-President

Since our daughter transferred from Walton HS to FSA two years ago, my wife and I have volunteered for several events at FSA. We all like FSA a lot and have made many new friends. I decided to join the board of Mustang Support Organization because I want to help all the kids at FSA to have more fun outside of studying. I am a metallurgical engineer and have worked in the manufacturing industry for 20 years. I am excited about the opportunity to serve on the board of MSO and looking forward to collaborate with all of you to better support the FSA community.

Isabel DiStefano - Profile

Mrs. Isabel DiStefano – Treasurer

Professionally trained and certified as an elementary educator, Isabel has enjoyed helping schools thrive by supporting students, families, and staff at the classroom, school, and community level. Working with diverse student communities in both traditional and private school settings, she developed her belief that schools are special, powerful places for children and their families. She currently tutors elementary students in Fulton County Schools and manages the children’s department at a local bookstore. In fall of 2022, Isabel joined the FSA community with a 3rd grader. Her first year as an FSA parent, she contributed as a volunteer at the fall Book Fair, and as co-chair of both the October teacher luncheon and the spring Teacher, Staff & Administration Appreciation Week. Last year, she served as a 4th grade room parent and supported the MSO Board with their newsletters and digital communications. Now, as MSO Secretary, she looks forward to using her prior experiences to facilitate our current Board members in their roles and to sharing her enthusiasm for schools with the Fulton Science Academy community.

Bess Tang - Profile
Mrs. Bess Tang – VP of Parent Engagement

Both my daughters have been with FSA for five years since fifth grade. During the past few years, FSA has become an integral part of our family life. I have volunteered for a variety of school clubs and activities, including Future City, Cross-country, Tennis, Track & Field, Career Day/Week, International Day, and Valentine’s Dancing Party. In 2022 I also introduced the first Girls on the Run program to FSA and served as site coordinator and coach during 2022 fall semester. Professionally, with over 20 years experience in the banking and financial services, I am currently working for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta as AVP in the bank supervision and regulation department. Outside school and work, I have extensive volunteering and non-for-profit board experiences. Currently I serve at the Emory University Business School MFA Advisory Board. I also served as parent board chair for Atlanta Contemporary Chinese School from 2018 to 2020 and a member of Federal Reserve Diversity Advisory Council from 2019 to 2022. I am very excited to take on the position as VP of parent engagement at MSO. As a parent and loyal supporter of FSA, I am a huge believer in balanced education experiences through social events to enhance parent connection and improve student mental health. In this role, I am particularly excited about the prospect of helping other parents feel more engaged and connected to the school community. Together we can enhance the educational experience for all students and create an even more welcoming school environment. I look forward to meeting and working with all the engaged FSA family members in the next and my last two years with this wonderful school.
